Factory reset
Anybody have any issues with their IR1 remote since the last update?
Mine will not allow me to use the virtual keyboard
the keyboard comes up but I cannot move the highlight to the letters I need to input to add a portal or load anything via the google play or any other option see picture
Therefore I cannot input anything or add a new portal or change an existing one
Is the remote at fault or is there any combination of buttons to allow me to return the remote to how it was working previously?
OMG, little bit exploring own box is really necessary! Factory reset or contacting Formuler for what?
This is not any issue, just hit "back" button (on IR 1 it is "<-" left near home button) to switch between Mol2 window and keyboard!
I have see this at my box to
mY fould i instal the gboard app remove the app and i lost IT.
Sorry factory reset for the box?
Will that sort out the remote control issue?
I don't want to have to reload my three portals and if the factory reset does not solve the problem then I cannot load any of my existing portals
So a factory reset is a bit worrying especially with not knowing if it will solve the issue
I really need to contact Formuler to get some real guidance on this issue
please try the reset if the problem still exists.
also, in case of backup, take a computer mouse/keyboard....plug it in...then u can always do all stuff.

If you are trying to change an existing portal, first disconnect it…then go back in and edit it. Hopefully that works for you.

Not sure I explained myself correctly my issue is with the virtual keyboard that once its up on my screen it does not allow me to input any letters or symbols as there is no way the mouse will move along the keyboard to highlight the symbols and allow me to enter the information
I do not have any issue with getting the add portal screen up just being able to input the URL, Password etc as the keyboard will not work.

Quick update plug and play doesn't work connect usb to usb and laptop doesn't recognise the Z10 so i really don't know how i can use any keyboard with the Z10 is it a faulty remote control or is my Z10 gone faulty since the latest hotfix?

I think he meant plug a usb keyboard directly into the Z10.

It should work. I have used a wireless keyboard with a number of different formuler boxes.
Btw, the GTV remote you are trying to use…is that the one that came with the Z10 or do you have another remote that you can try?

Sorry Sam but that does not actually solve my issue of not being able to use the keyboard I dont need to switch from keyboard to Mol2 window but when in keyboard actually get it to work
you obviously misunderstood my issue which is when the virtual keyboard is on my screen I cannot get it to work if I touch any button the keyboard disappears. So how do I use the keyboard if there is no option to move any cursor to whatever character i need to input????

I use a Bluetooth keyboard which works well. And it saves all that move/click/move/click/etc. remote action and it's fast!

All I want to do is solve the issue I currently have with the Z10 Pro virtual keyboard
If I carry out a factory reset and the issue is not solved I have then bricked my brand new Z10 as there is no way I can input the information into my portals So I need to know if the factory reset will solve the issue of the virtual keyboard or not and if not then how do I input the information to reinstall my subscriptions?
Or are you saying the only way to solve the issue is to purchase a keyboard separately from the Z10pdate?

I don’t know what you’re going on about.
You started a new and completely separate topic/thread/post so I went there and made two suggestions.
The first one was to try and change your Gboard settings.
The second one gave you the steps to uninstall the Gboard software updates only (Not a full factory reset on the box).
Go find it and read what I said please.

It seems to me that this is not the original keyboard, did you download a keyboard application?
If it's a keyboard that you downloaded from the Google store, It's normal that it doesn't work because they are touchscreen keyboards
My issue has been rectified thanks to help on here from Robbo
Man oh Man ,you actually hacked this thread with ur problem that is not from update the admin supposed to move you complaint that was not relevant and not related to the update because you update the keyboard and was giving you problems cmoon, when other ppl like myself and others actuay have problems with new update,that's this thread for right?
