Another question on Z10 Pro Max. Some apps side-loaded (not necessarily from the ‘Market’) seem to work in all respects except they load up in portrait mode? In particular, the popular English catch-up ITV Hub and All4 apps. These apps worked correctly in landscape mode on my previous Z8. On a plus side, BBC side-loaded fine from the most recent apk, and My5 from the Playstore. The ITV Hub in Playstore installs ok, but gets a ‘this device does not have the rights‘ message when it tries to open, hence why I tried to side-load an earlier version. Is this due to the Android 10 OS, or the device firmware?

Search for "Android TV" apk`s and sideload, not mobile version.

Thanks Sam, I have been and the only ones (for ITV Hub and All4) that will load up on the Z10 Pro Max, rotate to portrait, obviously designed for a phone.
However I have found a neat little app which will set the orientation, and seems to sit happily in the background until it’s necessary to switch a screen to landscape. Am I allowed to post a link, this could be useful for some people?

Sure why not, but please only official url, no 3th part websites or downloads from suspect sites.

OK, this is a secure link, Set Orientation installs with just a few kB, which runs in the background, and set to ‘landscape’. I only open it when using ITV Hub or All4 which want to open in portrait mode

I have no tie with this software, just a neat solution to the aforementioned apps that do not want to run in landscape mode.
