  • Hi Guys

    First Post and have owned my Z10 pro max for a week. I'm on the latest available FW and have a 32GB USB 2.0 stick plugged in. I have the following issues:

    1, When performing any scheduled recording from standby the box wakes up but only seems to record 1m 20s of the program before stopping. This happens every time. Instant recordings work OK.

    2, MOL2 crashes me back to the home menu whenever I click to view recordings the first time after starting the app. Subsequent launches seem to work fine.

    3, I have the box connected directly to an Onkyo txnr636 amplifier. Even with surround sound turned on in the settings, for some reason, my subwoofer will not engage and everything sounds 'tinny'. I know the subwoofer works as everything else plugged into the amp hdmi inputs work well.

    Happy to provide logs or anything that might help. Otherwise I'm loving the box so far. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might resolve these issues?

    • Box connected with: Ethernet
    • Did you factory reset your device? and when?: No
    • Picture url (only https): NA
    • Video download url (only https): NA
    • What issue(s) are you having?

    1, Scheduled recording only records for 1 minute before stopping.

    2, mytvonline2 crashes to the main menu after recordings option is selected following a restart

    3, Audio output does not trigger subwoofer

    • What was you expecting to happen?

    1, scheduled recording would record overnight

    2, That recording list would be displayed

    3, Subwoofer triggered when bass is output.

    • What happened instead?

    1, 1 minute of recording only when scheduled recording is set..whether from standby or not.

    2, Application crashed back to Formuler home menu

    3, No subwoofer output no matter how loud amp is set

    • How can we reproduce the issue you are having?

    1, set a scheduled recording to see if a full program will record from standby or otherwise.

    2, Try to access recordings menu after rebooting the box.

    3, Try to connect the box to an amplifier to see if sound output triggers bass output via subwoofer

    • What have you tried if anything to rectify the issue?

    1, Different USB stick, format to NTFS through RUFUS. Instant recordings work fine.

    2, Not sure what I can do

    3, Increase volume on amp, try output of same media via Plex on the Formuler box. Subwoofer works via Plex so the issue is confined to viewing on MOL. I suspect this could be audio optimizers doing but no idea.

    Hope someone can help/advise what to do next.

    About 1, set the box to power off and boot each time for scheduled recording.

    The stick was formatted as NTFS via RUFUS.. My friend has another Z10 pro max with exactly the same symptoms. Will try to find the formatting instructions but suspect this is a firmware thing. I've just checked instant recordings again and the football match I tried to record yesterday went beyond the usual 1m 10 that scheduled recordings via EPG go but still cut out after 43 minutes. Any ideas for other things that I can try?

    Set manually the recording time and change the shown from epg, try and report.

    Btw. which protocol are you using, Stalker MAC ID, XC Api or M3U?

    Check also your data, time, Regio and GMT. If not already done, change EPG to UTC and test if EPG is correct and time from EPG match.

  • I'm using M3U and so is my friend.

    Create new M3u Playlist with same data, when you get asked at end if you want to create XC Api Portal, say yes and use XC Portal instead of M3U, much more options and i hope better Sch. recording.

    I've set a recording and have manually updated the time and date on it to see if it makes a difference. Will update on what happens. As I'm using m3u, I can't find where to check if my epg is set to UTC or not. My date, time and region are all fine.

    My m3u URL is in the following format:

    http://<your\_address>/get.php?username=<username>&password=<password>&output=ts&type=m3u_plus

    I tried the default option to convert it to Xtreme Codes when the option appears but it does not connect. Do you know what details the box would need from this URL to make it work?

  • After converting my line to xc I've managed to get scheduled recordings working ad expected. I cannot record and then watch something else meaning that the provider doesn't seem to have enabled multi connections. I will speak to him and get back. Thanks Sam for your help!

  • How did you format the usb stick? There is a specific way it must be done. Do a search on the forum or Sam may have a link to the instructions.
