have scheduled recording but the box does not switch off (standby) after it was finished. it was in standby mode before recording. records with external hard drive
does not go into standby after it has recorded

Try with Power off instead standby.

Made a recording from stand by.
Ended from a different channel than the one I was supposed to record.
The box started and finished to stand by.
When I then look at the recording, which was 20 minutes long, the timer showed 1:01:12.
When I then looked, the recording locked after about 15 minutes viewing time.
The timeline showed approx. 57 min.
Remade a recording of 25 min.
Turned off to stand by from the recording channel.
Now the recording showed the correct length, 25 min.
No stopping during playback.

Got no messages. Playback just stopped.

I had on occasions that a recording failed,say one hour scheduled recording stopped abruptly after 20 minutes,and in notifications it says recording start and recording end after one hour,so i am just wondering how these notifications come about and whats the use of them if they do not reflect real recording time.
This is especially annoying when you record a sequel show every day of the week and want to binge watch it in the weekend.

Like Peter wrote in other thread, when this happens, recording fail, recording file is faulty or recording do not start, please send log file and post the tracking No. here in thread. Thx.

The issue with power off, is that you'll have problems with refresh contents. I have to leave my box on standby for the contents to refresh properly.

In that case you will have to make the choice between proper scheduled recording and manually refresh contents (which should not be neseccary!)
Btw i had similar recording problems with z10pro,but there you dont need to refesh contents.
