    Z mini random observations on my new box May 2024

    1.Display settings-Auto (out of the box) 4k/60Hz looks better on 50 Hz. TV in EU than 4k/50Hz. Better contrast-why is this???

    2.Image settings are still 2% increments as per Z11. Please adjust to 1% increments.

    3.Ethernet adaptor vs wifi speed tests on 1GB fibre (FTTH) typical 900/480

    *5G. wifi 160/120
    *Onshida ethernet hub 290/240 (a hub I found in my spares box)
    *USB C Hub ABLEWE 8 306/266 (new purchase as per usb-c hub recommendations thread)
    *UGREEN Revodok USB C Hub no ethernet!!! ??? (new purchase)

    4.Subjective: After multiple hours of FHD streaming box is 'gently warm to the touch'

    5.'Out of the box' the BT remote controls my TV ON/OFF...no set up...nice.

    6.Truly the best quality stream I have seen on Formuler boxes with my Samsung TV ... I have had Z8/10/11...Is this down to the SOC??? [AIFR enabled...but I thought this only benefited SD images?...I always stream using HD/FHD minimum]
    Again I can't emphasise enough...the images are just beautiful on this box!

    7. I have not had one box glitch/issue/error...etc...yet...awesome performance!

    EDIT: The separate provider listing is a huge plus point.

    Youre enthusiatic statement wants me to buy a z mini as well,i am just waiting for the z11 update,wherein the provider separation will be introduced,to see if this feature on the z11 is missing in contrast to the z mini,will make me to take a desicion:thumbs_up:

    Indeed the provider separation is a big plus for me. I usually have a choice of +/-5 providers and I like the individual listings. Let us hope it comes to the Z11 soon.

    Do you have a rough idea as to when separate provider listings will be introduced to the Z11?

    As far as i understood from previous postings by SAM the separate provider issue will be adressed in the upcoming z11 update,end of this month.

    I can only confirm your observations.

    With WiFi I am getting up/down around 300/300, but my router is very close. However WiFi connection is always stable.

    And about picture quality... I am also with Samsung Tv and the Z Mini provide the best picture quality I've ever seen on my TV. Have tried different boxes, but this is next level.

    2gb ram is enough, well you might have to wait fraction of the second when you are scrolling around, but for me the picture quality makes it worth it.

    You can easily add extra storage with a simple USB C OTG Adapter and if you really need wired connection there's a perfect working solution, which I posted hier:

    After more than 24 hours usage, I can confirm that everything is working. Connection is stable, after 8 hours sleep mode resume, after reboot resume. I could not find any problem. I am using the original power adapter from Formuler, but is working also with 2.4 and 3.0 Amp adapter.

    I can agree about the picture quality, tbh i am amazed how really good the picture quality is i can believe i am watching iptv , by far the best box i ever tried in terms of picture quality
