I'm getting off of Comcast cable TV. with that said, the one feature that is great on their remote is, when you press the LAST button for the channel previously watched; it provides a list of previous channels at the bottom of screen (about 8-10) to choose from. great feature when the channels you watch the most are readily available. any options/settings on the z mini MYTVonline3 APP?

Sure; back button goes to the previous channel, keep pushing this back button for about a second shows the last viewed channels.
PS: for your most watched channels you can also create a favourite group
If you longpress back button you will get a15 channel view of the last 15 channels watched
Hold back back button in for 1-2 seconds and voila.
