  • Hi guys. I searched on here first and couldn't find a answer. What I'm trying to resolve is that my TV turns on to record. And if the TV is on while it's recording and I turn it off, it will cancel the recording.

How can I stop my TV from turning on to record? By the way, it will turn itself on to record and turn itself off after. And the issue is that the TV is in the bedroom and my recording starts at 3AM.. I don't want the TV to walk me up :).

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for your reply Sam. Under the HDMI CEC section, I tried turning off the options one by one and it didn't work. Turning off the HDMI control completely works but doesn't allow my BT remote to turn off my TV anymore. So then, I need two remotes where one is needed to turn the TV one and off. Not really convenient. Is there another way I can program the remote to turn off the TV without having to turn the HDMI CEC control on?

    Thank you

You can shutdown your tv sith the bt renote.

    Go to formuler remote app.

    Choose bt remote.

Setup your remote with your tv brand and should be possible with button on the top left to shutdown your tv?

  • Gotcha. This did not work but I tried that on a different TV and it worked. My issue was that my TV wasn't recognized by the Formuler system. It's an NTC TV. So I'll have to either use two remotes, or use a different device, or not record.

    Ok thanks guys!

Search internet. Some brands use ir codes from other brands.

Example: ntc is a sister company from samsung or so.

    Try then the samsung codes
