Very slow ethernet speed with Surfshark

    Just recently my ethernet speed has become very slow when I'm using Surfshark VPN. Without VPN I'm reading 952Mbps download. With Surfshark I'm reading 2.75Mbps ! (not a typo). I tried changing my DNS but it's still the same. I even did a factory restore on my Z11 Max Pro but it's still the same. WiFi speeds are a little better. Without Surfshark I get 386Mbps, with Surfshark I get 89Mbps.

    I switched the Formular with a Nvidia Shield Pro (using the same exact ethernet cable) and my download speed with Surfshark on is 420Mbps, so nothing is wrong with the input signal.

    Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thank you.

    I don't think that Surfshark is the whole problem. I did change to IKEv2 protocol and I got the download speed (wired) to 160Mbps (still awful). Like i said I got 420Mbps on my Shield with Surfshark on. No VPN on both I got 960Mbps.

    I tried Nord VPN on the Formuler and it was a little better. I got 248Mbps (wired), still bad. With Nord on the Shield I got 578Mbps (wired). As you can see, the Shield preformed WAY better then the Formular with both VPN's.

    Are there any settings that I can change to improve this?

    Hi, Does the low speed in any way affect your iptv experience,as iptv also works at relatively low speeds.

    I am connected via wifi,and use Nord VPN,but never experienced any problems.

    The Surfshark that I was using was from the Google Play Store. It was version 3.15. I uninstalled it. I re-installed it from the Formular Market. This version is 2.8.4.5. It works a lot better. Wired speed is 290Mbps download (still not great but usable) and wifi speed is 249Mbps. These are both with the Wireguard protocol.

    Thanks for your update. You help a lot of surfshark users now temporary. Good job my friend. I use Nordvpn, so no problems here

    Surfshark install on router (wireguard) only 30 % speed lost 1gbs to 678 mbs
