  • I own a Z10 Pro Max and have recently considering thinking about upgrading to a Z11 Pro Max now that the Z12 has been announced but not quite decided yet.

I have some thoughts and questions but couldn't find a straight answer here in the forum but hopefully some of you can reply and help me decide

    1) Auto refresh/schedule refresh - does this work when the box is in standby mode or does it only work when the box is on wheter MOL3 is running or not? The idea would be to set the schedule for updating each morning say at 7am and when you turn the box on from standby the playlist is refreshed.

    2) Is it possible to mark all messages as "Read" and/or delete? I remember this not being possible early on but maybe has been fixed through updates.

    3) Is it possible to assign the "refresh contents" option in the menu to one of the custom buttons on the remote? Eg so you press a button on the remote instead of going to the Menu, scrolling to and hit refresh.

    4) I read that when entering VOD the default sorting is not by newly added, eg you have to change the sorting to "New first" - is this correct and possible to change to having the latest additions on top as default?

    5) The last one might be tricky but more for discussion... I bought the Z10 Pro Max not too far away from the launch of Z11 and missed out on the MOL3 party... I know going for the Z12 would be considered more futureproof but what are the thoughts on Z11 series? If by any chance MOL4 would be released, would there be a possibility that previous boxes would get an upgrade or would it be more likely for such a version to be launched along with a new box-series?

I don't have multiple portals and playlist that would make sense to go for the Z11 so really all is fine with the Z10 except the autorefresh function which is my bumber 1 priority and it would be a bummer if this didn't work as I had it pictured...

  • I think the anser to all your questions would be YES:smiling_face:

  • Yes,i have the box on standby and refresh every day at 00.50 AM,no problem.

  • Excellent thanks for all the replies and confirmations, one step closer to a Z11 then

btw can you confirm #3 is possible, the one with assigning the function update to one of the custom buttons on the remote? Only have a handful of predecided options to assign in MOL2 but maybe more options are available in MOl3?

    3) Is it possible to assign the "refresh contents" option in the menu to one of the custom buttons on the remote? Eg so you press a button on the remote instead of going to the Menu, scrolling to and hit refresh.

    hi

Afaik this isn't possible (only limited functions and apps can be programmed on the RCU).

But, to be honest, I used to ask earlier for this too, but now with the daily update that works fine, I don't need it anymore. In the few cases I need to update content manually, it's done quickly with the content manager menu (privider(s) separately or all provides once).

    hi,

I got the Z11 Pro Max last week and I must say the box is mighty solid, very much satisfied so far and dont think I've explored the menus both in MOl3 and standard.

As you say with the scheduled update does it's work and also manual updates are handled quickly.

Though regarding #4, is it somehow possible to set the default sorting to be by date? It keeps the same when going in back and forth through the VODs but it tends to jump back to the default sorting after the box has been in standby mode.

Also a new question that has popped up: is it possible to remove/adjust the order for the channels menu? The feature Watchlist is on top where I would prefer to have Favourites instead.

    Hi,

In VOD or Series, Menu - Recently Added,

Sometimes I have only 1 day, Newly Added (today and not yesterday, or bearly 1 day of history),

of new content, therefore yesterday is not there, so it's gone.

    But

Today I have a complete history of 3 days and maybe more.

Is this an MOL3 issue or provider isue?

    Thanks.
