I have a new Formuler Z12 ultra and have installed the SmartOne app. I think it gives a better picture than the built-in MOL3. If I start a movie, for example "The Strangers", I get a field above and below in gray. If I start the movie in MOL3 or in the SmartOne app directly on my TV, the 2 fields are black. I assume it is a setting in Formuler. Attached a picture as well.

Change to full screen.

Stretching the image is not a good solution. It must be a setting because it works with the SmartOne app directly on my TV. Even in MOL3 it is black above and below. I can handle the gray but I am curious why.

Does it also happen with other movies or only with this specific?

Yes, all movies in wide, testing the same movie on MOL3 that I test in SmartOne on my Formuler Z12 ultra. But if I run SmartOne directly on my TV (without Formuler) it is the black edges that I want. Called a friend and he has the same on Formuler 11.

Please try changing the HDR output mode.
You can change it from home screen > settings > device preferences > display and sound > HDR output mode.
I also suggest you check if the app on the Formuler device is the same version as the app on the TV.
Let me know your results.

Tried all the options there but it was the same result.
Yes, it's the same version on SmartOne all my devices (4 in total). I've also sent them the question but haven't received a response yet. It doesn't really matter if it's a gray or black border. But I think it seems strange that it's only on Formuler.
