Unable to control Z12 Ultra with IR remote

    Hello,

    I have a Z8 box I am replacing with a Z12 Ultra. My Z8 box is located in a central server room that allows me to pipe the output from it to several different TV’s (via a HDMI splitter) in my house at the same time, eg Living Room and Back Porch. There is a Control4 system that has an IR eye connected to the Z8 box. I want to continue to use the Control4 system as I have several of these remotes and they are all programmed to control the Z8. Problem is no matter what I do I cannot get the Z12 box to respond to the Z8 IR remote, or when I put the BT Universal remote that came with the Z12ultra box in IR mode the Z12 ultra box wont respond to it either. I placed the Z12 on a table with a monitor and have direct line of sight to it from the remote, still doesn’t respond to IR.


    I’ve read on line you can control the Z12 Ultra with a formuler IR remoter but I cannot get this to work


    Is there a setting or a key sequence I need to perform to get the Z12 to fully respond to IR commands, I do not want to use Bluetooth, as goal is to use the Control4 IR eye to control it. I have put the Z12 Ultra remote in IR mode by pressing and holding top left button (TV/STB) for two seconds it flashes red when buttons are pressed so this is telling me its in IR mode.


    Any help really appreciated.

    Z12 use different command keys than Z8 boxes, this was changed already with the Z8 pro.
