Will Z Mini and Z11 get MOL4?

The only doubt in my mind is if Zmini will have Mytv4. Other than that i don't see Z11 with Mytv4. forget it!!

This is a policy aimed at encouraging sales and consumption. The main issue is that the Z11 Pro Max and the Z12 have the same hardware and differ only in storage capacity.

patchb01 Ofc, they need to keep up the pace. Everyone does it. And that's why you have Mytv4 coming and Mytv 3 and even 2 still being updated. If Formuler was the only company doing that i would be against it, but knowing the market i think they need to release 2 new Z12 models soon
I'm waiting for it as i don't need the brutality of Z12 Ultra
, but a Z12 PRO Max will probably come to me and Z12 new models will have Mytv4 only. Z12 Ultra is the special beast with 2 Mytv models while not sure if we can install both or choose between. It's only fair. -

It was not decided, announced or told and we start already with this discussion, like each time when new MOL came.
How ever, we can discuss about this until we get green but it is at end decision from Formuler.
Fact is, each time only new Boxes get the latest MOL version and i think this time will be same.

i understand your point of view, but the issue is not just about new boxes. When two devices have the same hardware, it is difficult to justify a difference in software support. If updates are driven purely by commercial reasons, it can frustrate users. Let’s at least hope that Formuler clarifies its policy to avoid any confusion.

I’m going to share my opinion, knowing that I’m someone who values quality and the latest technological innovations.
In my view, Formuler should stay focused on developing the Z12 Ultra and not release any other box for the next 4 to 5 years.Why do I say that? Because the arrival of Dolby Vision 2 has changed everything, and content using this technology will only become widespread in 4 to 5 years—that is, when users also follow by upgrading their televisions.
This isn’t meant as promotion in any way, but it’s because of Dolby Vision 2 that Nvidia and Apple haven’t released their new set-top boxes yet.
In my opinion, if the team manages to find a solution to play Blu-ray Disc quality files (.m2ts) with Dolby Vision, they would make a very strong impact, and no one would consider buying a box where you need to install an operating system (CoreElec) just to properly play this type of file.

In this case, I’ll buy Tivixxxxx for 30 $ with lifetime updates instead of waiting for a favor.

Do you know if a z11 backup can be restored on a z12?
I'd like to upgrade but don't want to loose everything

No, not possible.
Through upgrade process all should be taken over.
