    I cant get any of my streamig apps to paly with vlc player. Ive tried multiple sources for the apk. It installs just fine but for example one streaming app says this after setting vlc as my main player and trying to play something.

    "no compatible cpu incorrect vlc abi variant installed"

    Any help would be appreciated. Id rather not use a different player. Works fine all of my shields.

    How did you installed VLC, sideload or over G Play?

    First thru the play store provided by formuler. Then i tried other versions from different sources by sideloading.


    Some apps can play the external player vlc but then get no sound, some apps cant play vlc then show the message above and or a similar message. If i switch back to the apps default player they work fine. But those players arnt as good as vlc. Things as for as layout and subtitles. Ive tried other player and im not really liking them. Ive tried just player and mx player pro just to name a few. VLC is the player i want to use.

    Honestly the more i try to play with this box the more i get frustrated. Its a $270 box 😮 and nothing easily works just as it should. The box is almost useless to me. Really none of my 3rd party apps work like they should and i have alot. Everyway i turn to try to get something working another issue pops up that keeps the app from fully functioning. NOTHING JUST WORKS AS IT SHOULD.

    I have 4 shield tvs and none of them have these issues. I was going to replace all 4 of them with a z12 but this thing is going back.

    And im sure all the fanboys will tell me how im suppose to use the box instead of letting me use it how i want to use it. Mytvonline3 is ok… however i have tivimate and im completely fine with using it. People are going to tell me to use built in players when i want to use vlc. Even if i try to use the built in players on the apps i still get all types of issues that i just dont get on ANY of my shields while using the same 3rd party apps.

    I purchased this box cause it is comparable in specs to the shield tv pro and can play hdr10+. Paired with my samsung s90f which plays hdr10+ only and not DV, its awesome but it never freakin works. The shields only do hdr.

    I could careless about mytvonline 123456. Tivimate is fine for me. Shields remote is also fine for me. This box has so much potential but nothing works. I cant even reprogram the volume buttons or disable side buttons.

    More and more frustration. For $270 yall gotta do better then this… WTF!
