  • is it possible to sideload apps to the Z7+?

    i mean from another device.

i have a mac and use adblink to connect to other android devices and add APK's.

when i try to connect to the Z7+ i get a "cant connect to this device" message

Why not just put the .apk on a USB stick and introduce it to your Formuler that way.

Alternatively, navigate from the Formuler to a network resource where the .apk resides and install it from there.

  • You can just create your own Filelinked store for your own personal use, this is easy to setup and manage, you only need 3 things for this, a Filelinked account, a drop box account and your apk files. Im waiting for a response from one of the modoraters to see if I am able to create threads which are not native / specific to a certain device, I have a few threads I have wrote ready to go, this is also another I could write, step by step, how to create an manage your own personal Filelinked store, until I find out if this is possible for me to do or not search for Filelinked, install it, create an account, also get your self a dropbox account to store an share links for your apks, you use the share link address into Filelinked to create your store an listed apks available for you to download, as I said I will go into ,uch greater detail if this is something I am aloud to do on the forum(obviously no sorces will be mentioned for getting your apks or no apk names will be mentioned, that is down to the user thier self)

thanks but it's a bit more faffing around than just using an app from my computer.

i just want to know if it's possible to do.

thanks, it's something i will look into if normal sideloading isn't possible.

  • adbLink doesn't work because adb is disabled on Formuler devices.

You can copy files directly to the Formuler device's filesystem over the network using SMB.

    \\ip.address.of.formuler\share

    username/pass: guest/guest

After the files are copied over, you have to manually install them using a file browser.

The alternative method that has already been suggested can be expounded upon as below:

Create a folder called 'apks' in the root directory of the USB

copy all your apks into that folder

Insert the USB into the Formuler while at the home screen

The APK auto-installer dialog will appear on the screen.

Unsolicited PMs for support will be ignored.

Duplicate support requests to the forums and helpdesk will be ignored.
