My z8 also shuts down on its own after a cold boot. In my case it is as follows.
I always goto the power menu an select power off. Then turn the power off at the plug. When I plug it back in an power on it boots right up as normal to the home screen an then compleate power down, as when I power back on with the remote it cold boots again, after that it runs as normal. It's not annoying me enough yet to try a factory reset but I have already factory reset a few times after the latest update anyway 👍

I reset to factory turned off auto-update and dumped the latest firmware update. Works perfectly.

Hello everybody, unfortunately this did not work for me. I resetted the box several times, Wifi has been turned off and the auto-update feature was disabled but my box still automaticly turns off when powering on. Is there a way to re-flash the box from a usb stick? Thank you .

I power down the device from the menu(power off and then i disconnect the ac power. With the previous update i never had any issues using this method.

Disconnect AC power is the problem, therefore the box goes into last state and this is power off.

No problem, i'll just disconnect the ac without powering off then. Just tried it and the box does not power off anymore .Thank you for the support.
