Question about NET and PIC values ?

    NET is the network download speed of the actively playing stream. This is the rate at which data is being pulled into the AV buffer from the network (internet). When initially zapping to a channel, this number will grow and peak until the buffer is full. After that, the rate will decrease and occassionally go to zero because the buffer is full and or there is nothing left to pull from the server.

    PIC is the video bitrate. This could be loosely described as the picture quality of the stream. In most cases, the higher the bitrate, the higher the PQ. But sometimes this is not the case if the stream is encoded with poor knowledge of encoding parameters.

    In general, you will get buffer underruns (video buffering) if the PIC exceeds the NET values for any extended period of time.
