Of course it can. You don't have to leave it on. The box will wake up from standby/sleep mode and record what is scheduled. After it's done recording it will go back to standby.

with new update ..MOL 2 i try to manually record a show from epg w/ no info in advance..Show is on 12:30..Live time is 12 noon..cant record it until 1pm right ?
