  • I have tried to connect my parents formuler z8 box to Ethernet. Ive restarted everything. Ive turned wifi off and connected Ethernet. Ive done everything. I leave wifi off for a day itll be fine. Next day it wont. What am i doind wrong? I just want them to be hardwired to eliminate a lot of the small problems that come with wifi

  • I have the same, a workaround I use is that when the homescreen is loaded wait for like 5-10s, then unplug-replug the ethernet cable out/in the Z8, and then suddenly it connects for me... (I haven't reported it because I know Formuler support is already overloaded)

Wifi should also work, just make sure it can/will only use one channel to prevent switching. And make sure the DHCP lease time is set to for example at least 24 hours.

  • ddd I just tried rebooting the Z8 with WiFi turned off and doing as you said unplugging and replugging Ethernet cable after 5 to 10 seconds and it now works. Thank you

But don`t forget to change also the suggested DHCP lease time in your router. Btw. if you find the setting "Green Power" or calling similar (standby for your Ethernet port in router), disable this also.
