  • I purchased a LG SN4 Soundbar & Subwoofer.

I can't get the subwoofer to work even though the light on it is solid green & it says it's paired.

    No sound from subwoofer.

I have the soundbar connected to my Philips HDMI ARC.

    It's an original Philips TV.

I've trawled through the internet for answers but nothing is working.

I've set the TV Speakers to off and HDMI ARC to on in the TV menu.

But all I'm getting is sound from the soundbar.

    No sound from the subwoofer.

Trying to get this working using Formuler Z8.

  • Seems like the issue is with your setup somewhere.

If you’re getting sound coming from the soundbar but not the subwoofer then it wouldn’t be anything to do with the Formuler Z8.

Might be worth you consulting your tv and soundbar manual to ensure you’ve set up correctly.

  • Hi

First of all, have you tried playing a movie where you have colisions or buildings exploding, that is when your sub will come in an sound?

Your subwoofer aint no "speaker" it only play or rumble when needed to. All subs has an setting for when to play either its on or off and even setting when to fill in the "punch" the more expensive ones have setting from which Hz to kick in.

Your sub only plays the lowest range of frequency on advanced ones you can set when to play but in your case I belive its in your tv you have to set it. An for best experience of bass put it in an corner, from there the soundwaves have best way of spreading and giving you the "rumble"you want. NEVER beside your tv it will give you an missguided "soundpicture"..

I am an sound nerd and have even done the flooring when setting music on repeat and listening when and where in the room the bass sounds best. We all have our needs of getting satisfied 😁

    Hope this helps you further.
