Some questions.

I have been searching here in the forum and on the internet but for the next questions I am not able to find an answer. Here I come.

I will retire from work beginning next year and, if covid permits, I want to travel for several months each year. Is there a way that I connect when abroad to the GTV and do everything on the box that I can do at home? Or do I have to take the box with me and hook up wherever I am?

About HD audio. My receiver does not support HD image, and is limited to HDMI 1.4. So I connect the GTV the same way as I did with my Zappiti media player. HDMI to the TV and an optic cable to the receiver. When I play the Zappiti it works very good and HD Master ans TrueHD signals are passed through to the receiver. I can see it on the display. However playing on th GTV is does not pass through correctly. In the settings I turned everything manual on but with no result. I connected the GTV the same as the rest. with a decent HDMI cable. Do I miss something?

For the rest the box is fine. And I have to admit with a lot of people here that the image needs working! There is a lot of difference when I watch Youtube on the TV or on the GTV. Or compared with just TV channels. Even a better HDMI cable did not make any difference.

Thanks for the response! I am looking in the sound setup of the GTV. But I see no passthrough RAW. I am looking to maual settings and turned all setting on. The first one is Dolby atmos and the last is TrueHD.

Just the same. No HD audio as far as I can see on my receiver. That was the option I started with. And when I saw no indication I fall back to manual. Turning all the options on. But no result.

What I miss is the passthrough of HD audio. My receiver will show on the display whatn kind of audio he is receiving. Whatever I play, I always see basic Dolby. So no HD Dolby or DTS. As I mentioned is my receiver HDMI 1.4 and when I hook up the GTV directly to the receiver it will not work. The same as my Zappiti. So I hooked up my Zappiti direct to the tv and optical back to the receiver. That gives me everything. With the GTV using the same connection I see only Dolby.

I did. But this is no succes. I do not get any sound at all.Whatever I try. Strange.
