Is it possible to pause and then continue from where you paused, automatically, rather than having to rewind back to where you paused after resuming? I tried every setting I could find. I'm using a 124 gig high speed Samsung flash drive for storage, I turned off buffering, chose "resume" in preferences. Is there one I may have missed? Thanks

Yes, with local timeshift. You change to some channel, start to watch, press pause because you need to do something else, come back, press play button and the show continue from place where you paused.

By saying "press pause...come back, press the play button" do you mean the "play-pause" button? It never starts it back up from there. It always jumps to someplace else. I have Time Shift turned on, zero buffering selected, and a five second display time. Any other settings I need to make?

Thanks for the help. I'll try to figure out why it gets a little off when I restart after a long pause.

The restart point shouldn't be more than 1 or 2 seconds off from the original paused point

I find when I first click pause, then un-pause - yes, it jumps to the live position. But the SECOND time I press pause, it resumes properly from that position.
So what I do when I first turn to a channel that I want to timeshift, is press pause, then un-pause. Then the next time I want to pause it will properly resume.

Here is a demo of the issue we are describing if it helps (this is from my GTV, but the Z8 Pro displays similar behavior):

175n, Thank you for your post ! I wasn't explaining myself very well but Xhumeka showed me what I was doing wrong. Xhumeka, thank you very much!!. I knew there was something I wasn't doing right, and you have shown me how to pause it correctly!! A million thanks! I love my CC. Little by little I am learning how to do everything with it that my $177 monthly Verizon Fios TV could do!!vanglist
