  • Hi, over the last week I've noticed a total loss of audio on some of my favourite channels in live TV.

At first, I thought it was an issue with my provider but after testing on various other Android devices with other player apps, I confirmed that the audio works as expected.

I have 2 GTVs and tested the same provider on the second box and the same issue occurs on the second box. Maybe the provider changed the codec or bitrate of the audio on the stream. But the fact that other free and cheaper alternative players can play the sound and MOL2/GTV cannot is very disappointing. This is very much a software issue.

Please can anyone help? I'd love to provide details but not sure how I can see audio details of the streams.

  • Android Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Format > Set to "None"
Open the Audio Track menu in MOL2 and select a different audio track

Unsolicited PMs for support will be ignored.

Duplicate support requests to the forums and helpdesk will be ignored.

  • Android Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Format > Set to "None"
Open the Audio Track menu in MOL2 and select a different audio track

Thanks for the suggestion 175n. I tried that with no luck. The Digital Audio Format setting was already set to "None". On MOL2, the only option on audio track is 'Auto'.

Thinking about returning the box as it's not fit for purpose. Do you know when the next update is due? Everyone keeps saying soon, soon and soon but the box hasn't received any significant updates since launch and make me wonder how well supported this device will be in the future. Really disappointing from Formuler.
