I’ve just got a z8 pro but in connections it has no option to add portal? It has portal nickname option, any help appreciated

Looks like you use provider box (settings and maybe even other areas locked or branded by provider). You need to contact them and ask for change.
Retail boxes do not have any restrictions.

I have the same issue as u. I bought a box and it’s locked by my provider. Then my provider will not unlock it because he wants me to keep using his service. Now it’s collecting dust in my basement because of that . Very sad , I hope ur provider Is better than mine

I think, your box was already in use from someone and modified. Like i already told, retail boxes are not modified like yours.
Contact your seller and let him replace the box.
You can of course go to Settings -> Storage & Reset -> and do "Factory data reset". Do it and report again.

He labelled the thread with Z8pro, ezebox have nothing to do with Formuler, other brand.

I know how to reset your box and get all of the ezbox stuff off of it. I did my Z8 pro today, should work on yours. Once you get that stuff off the box you can add portals and use a different provider.

Sam, the reason people keep thinking that this issue is a Formuler issue is because the person selling these boxes is saying that they come this way (with several custom changes and add ons) from the manufacturer. I thought they boxes came that way from Formuler too, until I started to do some research and found out they didn't. Us newbies can be told anything and wouldn't know the difference until someone that is impartial and knowledgeable tells us the real facts.

yes, that is him, Jeff Jones from the Boxxmen. He tells people that he pays extra to get that custom setup from Formuler and all that he does is sell it to consumers, so that makes it a legal box. But I now know that is not true and somehow he gets the custom setup put on the boxes before the consumer gets them, but they look brand new when they arrive, so his story sounds believable. But when something goes wrong, like the VOD stops working, he says the manufacturer (ie Formuler) is working on it and will have it fixed soon. This is giving Formuler a bad reputation and it also looks like they are selling "illegal" boxes.

Checked again his youtube video (the homepage is in maintenance mode now) and this is what i can tell.
1. He try to create (on his way!) some brand name, but use for this our Boxes, put stickers on it and sale to customers as ezboxx.
Would Formuler manufacture some other Brand (for some Distributor) with same specs and options, then the box would completely have other name than Formuler!
2. He is reseller like 1000 other`s too. Everyone can start with reselling and 20 box pcs. package!
Many of them change the settings, pics or some apps with they own on such boxes. From this step we call such boxes "Provider boxes" and not "Retail".
Retail boxes are untouched boxes from manufacturer, sale like on Amazon, other shops or directly from distributor.
3. He changed the background pics with molcfg (tool) and also the settings from the box when he put his service on it etc.
This explain the question from thread starter and "No portal add option". In clear text, he blocked the option for customer to use the box free and with other services than his own.
From this step (branding, changing settings on box, lock and first of all installing 3th service like iptv subscription on the box/device), is only this reseller responsible for everything later!!
Unfortunately his customers comes then to us and blame about the box or locked settings, because they think we are responsible for everything.
The right way would be, to inform own customers from beginning how all his services and support work + what his customers can expect.
Obviously, this doesn`t happen.
4. To create one good working backup with all changes + settings on it and put on all other boxes, don`t need to much time. Maybe individual service changes for some subs. He need just to take out the box, connect and connect the usb stick for image restore and some other change. Box again back into package and that`s all. Packages don`t have seal, so easy to open and do his changes. The customer can not see any changes, for him is everything new and well packed.

Of course he do that, because his own service stuck and he push the responsibility from him to Formuler just not to give proper support for his own customers. This is nothing unusual, saw it so many times with other provider. Fact is we on Forum, TG, Reddit and Support lose then time for research when user comes with question or Ticket and the issue at end is his service.
Important Infos about Formuler:
1. Formuler manufacture and deliver boxes as retail boxes, with no 3th installed apps or any other services.
Except own MOL2 - Mediacenter- Formuler Remote, and partner apps like youtube or vpn express trial.
2. Formuler sale only this way: Formuler Manufacturer to Distributor and Distributor to Resellers + End Customer.
3. Formuler deliver only Retail boxes, with no changes for anyone.
So, if this guy told somewhere Formuler changed something for him, this is absolutely nonsense and not true! Why should manufacturer risk something and get in trouble for one Reseller?? Once again, nonsense!
What the people want to believe is one thing, the true is something else. We are all old enough and i hope with healthy working head to know that not all informations we get are correct. So rumours and false informations are everywhere present, only important is from where such Informations comes
Healthy human mind is required here, hope i explained everything

He need to contact his old reseller/provider to unlock.
