  • Greetings to all Formuler team

I have a few issues with my Z10 Pro Max

    1º Controller

I try to use the controller that so-called legacy because have more feature

than GTV-IR1. But for some reason, the Z10 doesn't do respond to the controller when I press any key

I can see the led from the box blinking but do not respond to the controller.

This controller is from my Z8 which works perfectly.

    3º Turn off/Turn on

If I turn off the box with "turn off" method I can't turn the Z10 on again, the Z10 won't respond to the GTV-IR1 controller, the Z10 don't even blink.

I need to unplug the box from the AC and plug it back is the only way I was able to turn on the Z10

As standby method works with no issues.

    2º PiP

Sometimes but not always, the PiP won't work it makes my z10 be black screen when I do change channels, the box will come unresponsive and become black screen,

I need to unplug the box from the AC .

  • 1º Controller

Only Legacy remotes that have "02F9" printed on the front of the remote are compatible with new-generation models.

Oh!! dint know about the controller, I will buy the one where is that 02F9 printed on the front thanks 175n.

I did try that with IR extension and without it, is still the same.

  • I did try that with IR extension and without it, is still the same.

IR extension cable is an optional accessory. You should only use it if you install your Formuler STB inside a cabinet or when direct line-of-sight with the remote is not possible.

    Remove the IR extension cable.

Make sure you point the remote directly at the front of the Z10 and try again.

Make sure you press the "STB" power button on the remote.

    1. Please explain in detail or show video of how you turn OFF the Formuler device.

What buttons do you press on the remote and/or which menus you use to accomplish the shut-down.

    2. Please explain in detail or show video of how you attempt to turn ON the Formuler device.

If you make a video, show your fingers pressing the remote buttons and the TV screen and the Z10 device in the video

You can upload videos to https://streamable.com

Also, try to remove the HDMI cable from the Formuler and try to turn it on and off to see if there is a difference in order to rule out the possibility of some CEC bug.

  • I press the STB button on GTV-IR1 for 3 sec or until shutdown menu appears, then I make "Shut Down"

after this, I can't turn on the Z10.

I did try to turn on the Z10 without the HDMI but still the same won't turn on, I also try

Turn on the Z10 with CEC options disabled but still the same.

Ps: My new controller legacy arrived with 02F9 printed on the front, works like a charm, of course, turn on function don't work

    thanks for the tip :grinning_squinting_face:

  • Thank you for the videos. Will forward it to the developers.

Temporarily Use Standby mode instead of "Power off" mode to see if the problem goes away.

In other words, just tap the STB on the remote (don't hold it down) to put the Formuler to sleep. Then try to wake it up by pressing the STB button one more time.
