Unknown audio format when trying to play video files with Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and DTS-MA

Hi All,

Has anyone been able to play any Hi-Def audio tracks from files encoded with Dolby Atmos, TrueHd or DTS-MA on the Z10 Pro Max?

I keep getting "Unknown audio format". All these files play properly when using my Z8 Pro. I literally just swap out the box when testing so I know the configuration with my Denon X4400H is correct.

All working on Z8 Pro and verified on Denon receiver.

Box --> Denon --> TV. I don't see a bitstream passthrough option in the Audio Settings and all the selections for Hi-Def audio are greyed out. See pics attached. With the surround sound enabled I get sync issues with VOD and TV Series.

I installed VLC player from Google Play and am able to play Dolby Atmos. Sometimes DTS-HD if I check audio passthrough on VLC player but it's hit and miss.

Most Dolby files with show "Multi-channel in"

I'm sure this is a codec issue. All of these files play flawlessly on the Z8 Pro.

I hope this gets resolved soon.

Sam ... are the developers working on this? At the very least a bitstream passthrough option to allow my receiver to decode the audio?

Have installed the latest Beta firmware and audio optimizer ... made no difference when using media browser to play encoded video files.

Maybe media browser needs to be updated?

VLC will play all files with passthrough enabled in the settings of the player, MX player will not.

That really doesn't solve the problem ... VLC will not launch properly when using VOD or TV Series
