You have to do factory reset, but before check if latest update was installed, if not install and factory reset after update.
If all of this doesn`t help, you need to contact seller for warranty.

Will the CC run an active DVB-t antenna? I cant find any way to activate the 5v to power the antenna...

No, the Antenna needs external 5V power supply to work.
Under active antenna i understand outdoor antenna and that need external power! Passive maybe not.
