I have an issue with my EPG guide for my CC box that it doesn't grab the EPG for a dvb channel unless I switch to it. It just states "no information" for each channel. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Was about to post similar issue on my box (UK OTA DVB T2). Doesn't seem to be on all channels but can only be fixed by switching to the affected channels one at a time.
Not sure if it's a box or signal issue but it is annoying.

How does it work on other DVB-T boxes? Is there some way to get the EPG data for channels on a different transponder without actually tuning to that transponder?

Maybe when myonline tv2 starts it could run some grabber like this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3536…udp-with-ffmpeg

You can't parse data from PIDs that are not on the currently locked transponder. Unless you're using an FBC tuner. CC does not use an FBC tuner.

Previous question about how other boxes handle this still stands. Or if there is a documented best-practice to get all the EPG data from the various TPs with a single tuner.
Interested in hearing some solutions that have been successfully implemented.

Are you a developer with formuler or are you just asking? It must be possible as many freeview boxes get a EPG fine with a single tuner. Or maybe we could have the option to import a xml EPG at the very least?

This morning nothing was showing on my EPG which makes it fairly useless for local TV. Looks like I might have to switch to a enigma box if this isn't going to get fixed.
-
Is there anyone from formuler that could help here?

175n did already reply and my cc deliver EPG without any issues on DVB side, tested few min. ago.
Did you try with some other box/brand to compare if there is EPG from local channels delivered, tv maybe?
-
Yeah I get an EPG fine on my TV. To make it clear if I tune into the channels manually on the formuler cc then it does grab epg data for that channel. It just doesn't grab it automatically for all channels in the background, so I end up eventually with "No information" for every channel.
-
Same again this morning, if I view a channel it's grabs the EPG data no problem. But for the other channels it doesn't grab it? My signal is fine, I'm able to pick up all the channels and view them.

Here is my system information. I'd be happy to run any troubleshooting steps for you to determine the problem.

I have the exact same problem, running the beta software, on 2 Z8s, have 4 different subscriber accounts and they all only pull in epg data for approx the next 27 hours, on different apps / devices they pull in 7 days epg, vey annoying when I want to set a recording schedule when away from home for a few days

Sorry but this thread is for CC Box and DVBT-2 EPG, please open other thread or post in other epg existing thread.

Just to update on this. Unfortunately still having the same issue where its not pulling all EPG data.
A few observations that might be relevant?
- HD channels group pulls EPG fine, its just the larger dvb group
- My harmony remote puts the box into standby when I switch it off.
How is the box programmed to pull EPG data for all the dvb channels periodically?

My harmony remote puts the box into standby when I switch it off.
Try to use power off method for some time, so the box have to pull data each time you start DVBT.
Second, delete the MOL2 cache (app) and EPG cache in MOL2 menu.

Thanks for the suggestions. Done all of that but hasn't worked, in fact it's lost more EPG data now than it had before.

Just tried it at another house that had the signal at 100% and it still had the same issue. So it doesn't seem to be related to signal strength.

What i see on your screenshot is not missing epg on working channels i see backup channels (double, deactivated and maybe with other frequency) without epg.
See also the edited screenshot from me.
Since this are same channels, why not making favorite group and put only fully active channels with epg inside because it is normal that DVBT2 tower send same channels on different frequency's if some frequency can not be received from user.

I'm not sure why they are duplicated on that picture but on the guide they aren't and still have most of the channels as no information. I'm using it with a portal connection so I want to keep the dvb channels in the dvb group and not mess around and make more groups.

On my GTV the DVB channels EPG were only showed when i chose a channel (i have the dongle connected to the box)
Then i would slowly start appearing the rest of the channels EPG info.
In my Z10 pro max that info is showed much more slowly....
-
At this point I have given up. I don't think formuler are that interested in fixing the issue.

Ok, good luck with the E2 box.
