Z10 Pro Max with LG magic remote

HI I bought Z10 Pro max today and attached it to my LG TV, and i configured universal remote so that i can use LG Magic remote to control formular. It was working and is working fine with my Z8 Pro , with Z8 Pro i can up down channel, guide and all functionality, but with Z10 pro max , it is not working. i have enabled CEC and Simplelink on LG and Formuler but somehow on Z10 Pro max remote magic remote is not working. Please help. Z10 Pro max is amazing device but using 2 remote is a pain. would appreciate your help.

Again, same TV, Z8 pro is working absolutely fine, but with Z10 Pro, magic remote [Channel up down, Guide List, navigation] doesnt work.

One more observation, when i press channel up / down or any other button on LG Magic remote, white light on Z10 Pro Max does blink, so it is getting response but not executing anything.

I would like it the other way around and control the volume of the lg tv via the z10pro max controler.

I managed to get it working partially but still channel up down and back button doesn’t t work.

In universal remote setting choose Stb and choose dream link as provider and most navigation will work except channel up and down.

It’s not only TV volume. Using magic remote you can use almost entire formular. Which is convenient as I don’t have to use 2 remotes.

Which version of Tv do you use because i can not see Dreamlink on the code list? Formuler is unfortunately not at all listed in the database from LG.

My TV is LG 75 Inch Nanocell 90 series.

I have OLED 2020-21 and I get popup from time to time if I want to pair my tv with ”tvbox”?

For me its enough using formuler remote so I haven`t paired.

me too I have a LG 65" C8 OLED and cant seem to get the Tv volume to work from my Z10 Pro Max remote, I have to set the volume limit and then lower or increase from Z10 remote

Seems older TV`s 2018 and newer 2020-21 use different RCU databases. Was thinking that all of them use one database from LG`s Server but it looks like it is Firmware dependent and get database updates only through TV Firmware update. If this is the case then we have problem because LG will not make updates for older Tv`s if they include Formuler Codes into their database in future

Its no news that LG doesnt support their users, has been like that for ages.

if you program your Bluetooth remote with "formuler remote" app to LG. And you see when testing volume up an down with testing, it is good.

Now you can use your remote with your formuler.

To use it with your LG TV.

I found out you must hold above left cornor button "tv-stb" button for 4 seconds in i thought.

Then you can use the "source" button on your remote. (Right bottom button)

Volume i did't test yet.

When you want to use the remote on your formuler again, press and hold above left corner button "tv-stb" in for 4 seconds or so and then you can use it with your z10.

SW patch was released from LG. Please try to pair your Magic remote with your Formuler remote and let us know.
