    Thinking about buying one of these boxes as I use a shield at the moment and want something from formuler but with a very similar experience to what I’m getting now as I want to be able to use the mytvonline app and this box seems the closest to the shield that has that, anyways I see my shield is using version 11 android but I think this box is currently on 10, will it get the upgrade to 11 if it hasn’t already, I know Netflix doesn’t work great on it from no fault of formulers but I don’t use that so it’s not a problem, most if not all my other apps I use work with it just wanna know if it’s gonna be supported for future updates before paying out over £140 for it and swapping out my trusty nvidia shield, if only I could get the mytvonline on the shield it would literally be the perfect box.

    No info about this and i don`t think it was planed, it was already upgraded from Android 9 to 10.

    Think this will ever happen then I’m guessing if it’s been upgraded to 10 then no reason why 11 wouldn’t happen, how do these boxes compare to the nvidia shield spec wise, I’ve seen videos on youtube showing the CPU at like 70/80% just running simple none stress apps?.

    Here you go, the GTV's SoC is the Amlogic S905X2, GPU ARM Mali-G31 MP2.

    That's the disadvantage of hardware. Specs are improving constantly, what you buy now will probably be worthless e-waste in a decade. I currently own 3 GTV's and a Z8 Pro and although the Z8 pro performs excellent for IPTV, other apps (i.e. F1TV) do not work as well as on the GTV. Plus, the AndroidTV UI suits me just perfectly, Android OTT doesn't.

    It's great that Formuler brings out software/firmware updates for 'older' hardware (I recently received an update for the Z8 pro). :thumbs_up:

    Right now, I'm looking around for a AndroidTV (hardware) upgrade to replace the Z8 (which I will give away to a friend). It seems Formuler will not replace/upgrade the AndroidTV boxes in the near future, so if I want something beefier, my options are *********.

    On the other hand, I really appreciate the software updates and affordable Formuler hardware options, i.e. remote controls.
