    I have checked and checked and I have found that with my Fstick with either ethernet connection or Wi-Fi connection my upload and download speeds are similar, but when using my Z10 pro my internet speeds are completely different ethernet is much slower than Wi-Fi see pictures. The first is with ethernet the second is with Wi-Fi

    Can anybody offer me any assistance please?

    You are just making a point...

    Its a real one but its what you had paid for.... formuler z10se, z10, z10pro all have only a 100mb ethernet connection... so the speed with the cable is completely normal. and also should work like a charm on most iptv providers, only maybe on 4k channel could be a problem, but i dont think so. :thumbs_up:

    Maybe you didn`t check the specs yet from your Box :winking_face:

    With Wifi you are connected up to 867 Mbit.

    Thanks all for you help I was not aware of the limitation of the Z10 but then again I do not really understand about the speeds and the differences my internet is usually reliable with no throttling that I am aware of but just recently on both wi-fi and ethernet I have been getting a lot of buffering particularly when using the new ITVX service, and was wondering if my ethernet connection would be more reliable than my 5G wi-fi hence I looked at the speeds not really understanding the limitation of the z10.

    I'll have a look at the suggested usb gigabyte ethernet adapter

    2. regarding the location of the ip server:

    The further the distance is between the user and the server hosting the service, the greater the latency. The delay

    also depends on the networking efficiency and the quality of the routing devices.

    Thanks Jumping Rabbit but my router is next to the Z10 but interestingly my other iptv box is working perfectly okay in another room and I have just tried it in the same room as the Z10 and its working perfectly okay whereas the Z10 is almost impossible to watch as its buffering continuously.

    I am beginning to wonder if my Z10 box is faulty or not?

    Maybe I should try a factory reset and see what happens

    1. Is it buffering with both wifi and ethernet?

    2. is buffering with iptv only or both iptv and other apps(youtube, netflix etc.)?

    suggestions:

    1. disable ip v6.

    2. ensure firmware is up to date.

    3. ensure apps are not hogging bandwidth/cpu cycles in the background

    4. use the memory cleaner.

    5. do a factory reset.

    Yes have carried out a factory reset and used analiti to carry out speed test the Z10 ping test is much higher than with my other box and wi-fi connection seems to be more stable than ethernet which I find strange as my ISP supplied me with their latest router in December and its only now I am having these problems. I was getting buffering with both ethernet and wi-fi and also when using BBCiPlayer and especially IT

    Ipv6 is disabled but I also noticed over the weekend the ping test speeds went from around 12 ms to over 45ms I guess that will make a difference to my iptv supplier and connecting to my router but why would it change so much?

    did you try the formuler device on another router/internet service?

    1. disable wifi before doing ethernet speed test. certain router has slow cpu that can slow down speed if wifi is on.

    Also if the bandwidth is being shared by multiple devices speeds will drop.

    A true speed test should be done with only the test device connected to the router.

    2. as mentioned, latency can be affected by server location.

    3. ISP routers usually have presets preconfigured that can sometimes affect speeds.

    example qos enabled

    4. If your internet service is sim card(4g lte/5g) speed and latency can be affected by the tower

    5. faulty cable, device limitation(10/100mbps) or faulty ethernet port can make wifi speed faster than ethernet.

    6. wifi 5g is faster than 2.4g

    if you get it most on week ends then:

    1. If the iptv server is over loaded with viewers it could get slow. This is most possible with the cheaper ones since resources would be less.

    2. isp can also experience slow down due to high users on the exchange point. this is mostly affected by cable internet.

    another reason is the isp will not care to improve service especially if there is no competition in an area(only one isp present).
