  • Hello People,

Is this a bug or do I something wrong here? When i save a tv program to watch another day I will see it in schedule planner-watchlist. But when I start the program after 3 minutes I got a time shift error. But when I do time shift from the guide and search for the program yesterday in the EPG its works without error. Is it a bug or do I something wrong here? I can start from watchlist but after 3/4 minutes I got that error.

If i understood well, you mix watchlist and catchup. Watchlist is something different than catchup timeshift from EPG Guide.

It appear in watchlist exactly at the time it is on stream and disappear later when show ended. Is similar to reminder.

  • Hi Sam,

Thank you for helping me. Now I got it, this are 2 different things you mean, start a program from the guide (catch up) ore save it for later in the watch list. Unfortunate to hear that, because it works very easy to save them at the list. The only thing then is to program the tv show on the sd card or usb I think.

Add a TV program to watchlist (like favorite function). Watchlist is no alarm, no action required event.

If you want to watch the show later, sure then you have to create scheduled recording. Please note, with single connection you can watch and record same channel only, with two connections (in XC APi Portal and M3U) watch different and record one at same time. Many people forget or do not know this.

  • Hi Sam,

I have a question related to your comment about two recordings.

Yesterday I tried to record two different things from two different providers (connected with XC protocol) where I have only one connection.

I couldnt record the second thing as it overlapped for a couple of minutes and gave me an error.

As those would have been from different providers I thought it should work even with one connection from both.

Did I do something wrong or do I still need two connections for both providers in scenarios like that?

    Thanks

You can only record one and watch other (on single sub with two connections). Recording from one single sub and watching channel on other single sub is possible.

Multiple recordings are not possible even if you have more subs or connections.

where can I Find more info about the thing with one ore more connections? Don’t understand what needs to be set to create more connections?

Check this post -> RE: Record on 1 channel and watch another or using PiP

Sorry for bumping this 2 month old reply.

But this would be incredibly useful (and very nice) if MOL could automatically switch to a scheduled recording (or watchlist) if no action is detected by the user (i.e: user is away). It could be an option to enable or disable, according to user need.

This would allow scheduled recordings (or with a combination of watchlist) to be recorded without buffering / quirking issues for users with only one connection available, without the need for the user to remember to synthonize the channel prior the recording start if user knows he/she will be away at that time. It can be a real pain if recording function is used a lot and most often people forget and the recording is choppy, which is not enjoyable at all.

EDIT: added feature request to this feature: RE: Features Request Z11 and MOL3 (No discussions or questions, only request thread)
