Z10 Pro Max Switches it'self On

Hey,

I'm having an issue with my Z10 Pro Max box. It has started cutting itself on. No matter how many times I shut it down with in 15 minutes the light turn white and it's back on. I'm trying to avoid doing a complete reset. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

check for sure on z10 and tv settings or CEC is enabled.

Disable hdmi cec on both devices.

Try.

Oh, and on tv it have different names. Hdm cec, simplink etc.

If you shut down your box in standby position does the same happen,turn on within 15 minutes?

Lke Lucky wrote it is some CEC issue or setting on TV, Tv wakes the Box up.

You can try following.

1. Change HDMI Cable only for test.

2. Deactivate CEC box wake up on box. If you want still to use it then check all HDMI CEC Settings on TV.

Hello All,

Thank you so much for all you help so far.

Here is where I stand:

-I have two Z10 Pro Max boxes, both running v10.10.46

-Both connected to Samsung Smart TV's (different models).

-Checked the HDMI CEC setting on the Z10's and the top 3 are On.

-Confirmed that Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is On.

-Changed the HDMI Cables

-Using GTV-IR1 remote for both the TV's and Z10's

-Z10's Power Key Behavior is set to Shut Down

If I "shut down" the Z10's down first, using the "STB" button on the remote the TV follows and turns Off as well. However, with Z10 Box No. 1, the box powers back On in a matter of minutes. If I follow the same steps with Z10 Box No. 2, the box remains powered Off.

If I "shut down" the TV's first using the "TV" button on the remote. The TV powers Off followed by the Z10 box. In this case both boxes 1 and 2 remain powered Off.

This is the case no matter the TV either box is connected to. Meaning box 1 and 2 function differently no matter the TV.

I use Box 2 more as it is located in my bedroom. I recently moved and the box were switched that's how it's issue was noticed.

It was while writing this post that I found using the "TV" button caused both boxes to remain powered off. I never use the Samsung remotes for anything.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Or have I been using the remotes incorrectly for over a year and one box is cool with it and other isn't going for my crap. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣

How is your "power mode" set in main menu, Standby or Power off? Change both to power off and be sure that the IR Signal from first box is not send to second too.

Hello SAM,

My second Z10 Pro Max box is completely disconnected and powered off.

I also labeled each box with it's corresponding remote control. I'm certain the haven't been mixed up.

I also confirmed that the the "Power Mode" is set to Shut Down in both locations in the settings.

Ok, does this happen only on same tv and not on other?
