  • Hello everyone,

My customers who watch IPTV via the Z10 pro have recently experienced problems. The image regularly freezes or there is a repetition of the program they are watching. They can change channels to solve this problem.

Are more people experiencing this? If so, have you also found a solution?

It cannot be the provider's fault, customers with a Z11 pro box have no problems at all with the same provider.

    Thanks for thinking along!

Hi.i have similar problems with my z10pro since the latest update (still image and repetitions) ,only on some channels, and the issues disappear by changing channels.Nevertheless it gets quite annoying if you are in the middle of a programm or football match.

I also think its not a provider issue as it does not occur on my z11promax,same 2 providers,no problem at all.

I guess it is an underreported issue and more z10pro users are experiencing this.

I do not have a solution for this, other than changing channels,if more z10 pro users would report this it may become under the attention of the devs, for any future updates.

  • Hi ,Cybertroy,i reported similar issue in trhead dec update z10,post 25 &26.

Possible solution is Home menu>settings.apps >mol2>delete cache>restart box

  • I took a closer look at this and what struck me is that when the box is turned off/on, i.e. not on standby, the cache is not emptied. That's just how it should be, right?

I was actually under the impression that this always happened, but that is not the case. Then I think, why don't you empty the cache?

  • Hi,

im watching the reports and forward this to Formuler. Fact is, this happens only with few providers out there. If you want devs to look into please contact me through conversation, we need more data from you. Thx.

The app cache is deleted just when user do it manually.

  • Thanks for your response Sam.

I have already contacted my provider and they have made some adjustments on their end, I understand, what? No idea.

It remains to be seen whether customers are still affected by this.

If the cache 'problem' is also a factor, why isn't this cleared at some point Sam? I see that it now contains about 245MB. Isn't that a bit too much?

  • Cache Build is for faster loading time of older content, so this is essential for such boxes. Nobody say it is problem but it can in some cases solve the issue. Try and you will see if it helps or not, but for roll backs from my experience are always the Provider connection the issue.

In some cases can VPN also help.

  • This has been happening recently with me as well. It doesn't happen in all channels though. Often I find that the soccer matches are available on different localized channels. So if I find let's say that `Soccer 01` is getting stuck, I change to a different channel, say `Fox Sports`, and the stream there is freeze-free. But I have noticed that majority of freezing happens on the `Soccer #` channels. Not sure if that is something provider related or box related though

Soccer channels are most watched, so you can imagine that such channels if provider have no big resources (really fast server, big inet. con, flat backbone etc.) and many users stream at same time, that his resources going down. Result= Stucks and Buffering.

This sounds very plausible, but earlier on i reported in posts #2 & #3,simlilar stills and freezing,on low watched channels, not happening on my z11pm,but only on my z10pro,since the latest z 10 update?

Also these issues occur on both providers i have, however i use VPN,so this may also be related?

Btw what is a flat backbone?

  • Also these issues occur on both providers i have, however i use VPN,so this may also be related?

Of Course. Stream depends from so much things, between box<->Provider are xxx possible issues that can happen, inet is and was always sensitive + so much people all over the world, with so much different hardware configs, isp`s etc etc. LOL, never ending story. Long Latency , errors in datapackets and so much more, all of this can produce such issues. We are global connected and not all works well

Flat= Low Recources -> Backbone= Server in Datacenter and Datacenter connected with Backbone.

  • Also, sports streams and nature show streams often consume more bandwidth than other channels. A 1080p stream of a soccer/football match can consume 10 Mbps+, due to fast action a lots of changing color, while "normal" streams are often in the 3-5 Mbps range. So what you may be seeing is congestion or other problem between the datacenter and you/your ISP, such that streams that need 3-5 Mbps are happy while streams that need 8-10 MBps struggle.

We run a service and we frequently have to ask our DCs network engineers to take a look at the route between a particular DC or DCs and a particular ISP. They can usually find a better route from DC --> ISP. The end user cannot do this - the service provider makes this request.

If your provider is not responsive to your problem, look for another provider.

No, we are not going to mention here who we are or what our service is.
