1st Official Post

    I purchased my Z11 Pro Max last fall.

    I posted about having issues with power on/off.

    I was advised to do a factory reset.

    I continued with the problem until a couple of weeks ago when I finally decided to do a factory reset.

    For about a week, all was good, the unit powered on and off properly.

    Unfortunately, that has changed. Now the power on and off is erratic.

    Yesterday, I had to reboot the unit to get it started. It powered off okay but powered on again overnight. This morning, I had to push the power button multiple times to get the unit to shut down.

    This is very frustrating. It's not an easy process to do a factory reset and setup. When I did the factory reset, the latest firmware was installed.

    What should I do?

    Did you see if remote led flash when you press some button and at same time the led from the box flash too or RCU led flash and led from Box not, this only when the box do not power on? It is important to know that, to track the issue to rcu or box!

    Battery`s changed and new placed inside?

    Is optional IR Eye in use or not?

    I agree, it does seem like I should be more patient.

    I didn't start a new post, I added to my original post.

    "Open Box" is a common retail term. I believe it means that a unit was sold, the purchaser opened the box and then returned the item.

    My remote batteries are okay and the signal communication is okay.

    This is an intermittent problem. 2 days ago, the unit powered on and off okay.

    Interesting that my new Z11 pro max bt1 is doing odd things like that. After it has sat overnight and you turn it back on the guide (usually under the right hand screen before you hit o.k.) appears over top of my iptv live tv icon on the far left.. If you hit o.k. the box drops everything and resets back again and seems fine. It will turn itself off at times as well. I have better luck with my Z10 than the Z11 pro max bt1 and for what I paid I don't understand. Just quirky little things all the time. Am I the only one with some issues with the new Z11 box?

    Maybe is something really wrong and can not be solved with factory reset, therefore first user returned the box, who knows.

    Await next update (should come soon) and do factory reset after that, set fresh and try to reproduce the issue again. If it happen again few times, back to seller.

    Same recommendation like in answer for gheagy. In your case i would do the factory reset instantly.

    I'm okay waiting for the next update, if it's coming soon. I assume it is a firmware update.

    I purchased my unit from forumler.com on September 11th. Hopefully, a return/exchange would be allowed if the next factory reset doesn't solve the problem.
