  • does the system turn itself on for scheduled recording?

If so that's odd because it doesn't turn it back off again. You come home and your TV is blaring

This dosent happen when you set recording from standby position,it will automatically go back to standby position, and during recording the TV will not be turned on.

  • I have a Z8, so maybe yours is different. Look for CEC in Advanced Settings and turn it off. Some TVs like my Samsung are always listening and will turn on if the box turns on. HTH

  • THANKS SO MUCH GUYS

Just out of curiosity:how did you solve your issue?

  • I was really just fishing for info. Next time i need to schedule a recording i will see if things are different, i need to look at the "CE" setting i guess and see if it's set to off. Haven't done that yet. If my issue happens again, i will be here again talking about it.
