Is everyone else having the same issue with timeshift on the Z11? Cannot fast forward anything on any catchup channels. Works perfectly on the Z8 on catchup. Same providers. 🤷🏼♂️

Seems to be a xcapi catchup issue on the Z11 to me. Works fine on stalker. Strange 🤷🏼♂️ its a pain not being able to use timeshift. Can someone from tech look into this. Thanks.

Having the same problem on stalker
Oh thats odd. Seems to work fine on one of my stalker providers. All XCAPI providers have the timeshift issue for me.

On my Z11 Pro Max, I *can* fast forward while watching a catchup TV channel. (However I do not see the image while doing so.)
My provider uses the XC:API protocol. -
I've been a Z8 user for over 5 years. This past week I upgraded to a Z11 Max. The live pause and rewind does not seem to work like it did on the Z8. On the Z8 I was able to press the pause/play key to stop and start the live view and i was able to go back and forward with the left and right keys. On the Z11 I have to first start a recording before I can do any of this. Is this the only way to pause/rewind/forward live TV on the Z11 or am I doing something wrong?
-
Yes. Also have the same issue on the Z11 pro. Unable to rewing live tv.
-
Yeah, same here and its really disappointing and annoying. It's crazy that using that feature on my old Z8 is better than on my newer Z11 Pro. Why take a step backwards on newer devices and application? It's the only thing about MyTvOnline 3 that I don't like. I can't imagine it being a hardware issue since the devices that use MyTvonline3 are the more advanced devices. Is there any place to submit a feature request to Formuler about bringing that feature back?
-
So, is someone from Formuler gonna take this into account?

Tested now Catchup on XC with 3 different providers, loads and ff/rew works, in some cases you have to click again on OK button if pressed fast the pause option.

It's not catchup it's live tv timeshift which does not work

OK. Tested now also Local Timeshift from live tv and USB Stick, works same like catchup! If rewinded or fowarded pressing Ok and it starts from the point where the dot is.

It's not the correct way to time shift : press pause, go to the toilets, press play, it won't start

Did even that -> came from toilet after 4-5 Min. pressed once right arrow and then Ok, works! Continue exactly from point where it was paused.
-
I have used timeshift on live tv today without any problems. exactly the same way SAM says in post 15

I think some of them forget to press right arrow first, that could be the issue

Why would i press arrow and ok?
It's stupid user interface.
The correct way should be pressing the play button
-

So it's more an issue on your ui design, nobody will fo this instinctively. The instinct tells everybody to hit play

Stupid or not, now you know it.

A good interface doesn't have to be known, it's instinctive.
So when i'm back from toilets i have to press right arrow then ok button ?
And you don't see it as a problem?
-
Anyway, i tried the right arrow then ok press and the show didn't start again, still is paused

No, why should i when the timeshift continue where it stopped.
-
No, why should i when the timeshift continue where it stopped.
Because it's bad ui design... See the number of customers using the play/pause button as it should be... Be maybe you're typical person beeing right when everybody tells you're not
-
No, why should i when the timeshift continue where it stopped.
Also, a definitive argument against you : just having to press play is one press only, while your right+ok thing is 2 button pressed

Are you starting an argument with me even though I'm just explaining how it works?
Is it hard to say, we would to request simple press of Ok, if possible. And i will foward it, without so much discussion about Logic and similar?
-

No, i want it changed for better user experience, if it's something important to you

The right arrow on the dpad doesn't need to be pressed.
You can press the play button to resume.
With the first press, the playbar should appear - this would show the current point, and let you fast forward or backwards.
With the second press, the stream should resume.

Yes right that is normal way to start play, was focused on his issue so wrote only the other solution.

Ok, i've progressed on the problem, here are my findings :
When hitting play again to get the timeshift resuming play, nothing happens... For 16 sec3, then it plays normally.
That's why i thought it didn't work.
We can consider it doesn't really work, who wants to wait 16 seconds each time?...
Anyway, how can i help debugging this?

It shouldn't take 16 seconds. Tested it on my end, and it resumes instantly.
Are you connected with stable network?
Do you have the issue with all the channels you are using local timeshift on?

A NTFS drive format fixed the issue

Could you, please, extend that? Have you formatted USB with NTFS, instead of FAT?
-
Probably yes,as NTFS is the preferred format for recording devices (Read "How to format......",in Article section)

Yes i formatted in ntfs

Hi,
I got the similar issue - couldn't use timeshift.
PostRE: Play/Pause (Local Timeshift??) with MOL3 not working for me.
[…]
Hi, I got the same issue as the topic starter trying to use Timeshift, with some differences at my setup:
- Z mini, running IPTV 12.1.20 on system v12.1.5
- neither of my 2 providers have any channel with cloud timeshift enabled
- USB Stick of 64GB, formatted by Z mini system menu
- local timeshift enabled in MTO3 menu, recording paths pointed to USB Stick
- scheduled and by-request recording is working well for given Channel/USB
When I press right arrow on the remote - nothing happen, neither…yuramailJanuary 21, 2025 at 5:08 PM Could you, please, give me some directions to solve it?
