Provider custom profile update issue

  • Hi, I tried MOL2 app custom profile code but what it seems like it completely wipe out all existing data when custom profile updates. If provider updates custom profile and you update from box by "apply&reset" it should keep its all existing current apps and last saved working username and password as its just an update of current same provider custom profile. But simply wipes all old data and asking to re enter same username and password. Is this how it meant to be on same provider custom profile update. There should be an option only to update custom profile without reset so it can take new custom profile server URL and keep old saved user ID and password and all other existing installed apps and current setup data.

    when we do software update it keeps all existing current data and current profile saved url, username and password. No problem with software update unless we do factory reset. Thats the same logic should be implemented on custom profile update from same provider custom profile.

  • New server url and change from old to new one, is for MOL same like new Portal. Therefore if you change this, MOL pulls data from server like at first time.

  • Thanks for your reply. I am just replying you what you said. I know how to perform custom config update. Anyway I will just take it is how it is and its like this that custom profile config update (even from same provider old custom config) will wipe out the whole box setup and all its installed app and settings just like factory reset and we will have to re install all our fav apps and re setup all from scratch.
