Question z11 as desktop

Hi,

i am a shadow.tech user, im using this remote pc service with xbox controller on my apple tv to play games.

Now i want to do more than that, i want to use my shadow pc everyday as full computer replacement so i need a tv box that supports a keyboard and mouse and working with the Shadow app.

Is this possible with the formuler z11?

Is shadow avaible in the play store for the z11? Is my wanted use-case possible?

Checked Playstore and yes there is "Shadow PC" App available As Android TV version. So i guess it should work but no guarantee.

I will buy a z11 upcoming month and see if it works, ill report back the result. It would be great to use z11 as pc in combination with shadow service because low power usage and still high end pc functionality.

Ordered formuler z11 pro max bt edition!

i’ am a returning customer because of the formuler z10se it has been a rock-solid experience, very good entry level device that doesnt break the bank and is still fully featured. Also i like that this board is active in-case you run into problems.

Now i have to buy mouse and keyboard and try out my use-case.

I do not recommend DHL packet delivery service

They been rescheduling delivery 4 times now

I guess they are busy delivering packages that people buy with their holiday money but still its redicules how long this takes!

I have recent select to change delivery to a DHL pickup point in the hope it goes faster but now its stuck at ‘delivery delayed upto 2 days’ for like 3 days already! I hope they dont retour it or lose it.

Bottomline: i feel scammed.

I ordered from good rep company but this messing around with my delivery cause problems

If not here by then i call the store about it they can figure out where my package is.

Yes i try to avoid that that’s why i put the blame on the store and just now contacted them about it,

I much rather have the store call them about it and another good thing is that the store now knows their packages aint getting delivered. Lets see if things speed up from here on out.

The store responded to my email and said that for some reason the delivery service dhl is going to send the package back to the store (retour)

Really i already assumed something was up but this is weird because they have not once tried to deliver it.

The store wrote that they will send the package again when it comes back and with other delivery service (postNL.)

I do not know if it is allowed but i want to shout out mediakoning.nl for coming up with a good resolve!

My formuler 10se i bought from the same store they are legit and i am happy to see they fix delivery i trust they will keep their word.

I think the store is dealing good with the situation despite the delivery services acting up.

Now i i’ve got a status update that package is delivered to the pickup point!

Weird because in the status timeline it says to go retour and the store says the same. I think dhl is just messing with the delivery because they bite more than they can chew or a dhl employee tries to steal my package trying to get it to get lost.

I go try pick it up tomorrow.

Got the package they in the end delivered at dhl delivery point.

I’ll be setting up the box for my usecase tomorrow its too hot weather to do anything, siesta weather

It is working guys, the Formuler Z11 supports generic mouse and keyboard control and it works with the Shadow service! My z11 just became my main pc.

Xbox one s controller works too.

One note, at first shadow app crashed i had fixed it by setting fps limit to 50, this is a normal tv i think 50 is necessary, because it doesnt crash any longer

I've openend a bug report with the shadow pc service team about the crash, knowing them they'll look at it they are nice folk always willing to work with you.

great they already put it through.

honestly i been using shadow pc on this device now for a while and it is better performing compared to apple tv 4k.

it is a lowvoltage powerhouse, i use it as full gaming pc with the http://www.shadow.tech service and your device as advertised uses 12 watt max powervoltage, that is so much less compared to using a gaming pc - a gaming pc similiar to the stats of a shadow pc atleast uses 750watt power.

i also liked the background of the moon, would be cool if background change every day like windows has.

The shadow app stopped working with formuler z11 pro max.

It hard crashes the entire formuler device after the shadow app is about to stream stage..

I am working with the shadow team to find the cause and solve it as best a remote customer can.

Maybe the formuler devs can fix it? I’ve searched around google for a fix and i saw on reddit people with the same device have this exact same issue in the past (like 2 years ago) that does not give me much hope that it’ll get resolved any time soon, but i still request help with this because it is better than ignoring the problem and switch back to apple tv to use shadow.

I want to make this work again badly,

I’d even give formuler devs my paid-for shadow account login so they can test/fix. I keep paying for it.

I started looking for alternative and now i found better.

Im using now airgpu.com in combination with the android tv app Moonlight.

Works much better since they got datacenter nearby with better connectivity.
