  • Model: Formuler Z Mini

Retail Box or Provider Box: Retail box

Firmware version: latest (device currently stuck on pairing screen)

    MYTVOnline version: latest

Box connected with: HDMI (TV) / previously controlled via HDMI-CEC

Did you factory reset your device? and when?: 04/03/26

Yes, factory reset performed recently after pairing issue.

    What issue(s) are you having?

I bought the Formuler Z Mini about 1.5 years ago and everything worked normally.

About one month ago the remote suddenly stopped pairing and I started getting “Pairing failed”.

All LEDs on the remote work and the buttons light up.

I bought a new remote control but the same problem happens: pairing still fails.

I was able to use my TV remote via HDMI-CEC temporarily.

After performing a factory reset, the box now requires remote pairing during setup but the pairing fails again.

The device is now stuck on the pairing screen and I cannot continue the setup.

What was you expecting to happen?

I expected the remote to pair normally so I could complete the setup process.

    What happened instead?

The pairing process does not start or fails and the device remains stuck on the pairing screen.

How can we reproduce the issue you are having?

    1. Start the device

    2. Pairing screen appears (via Bluetooth menu -> add devices)

    3. Press OK + Menu on the remote

    5. OUI/MAC show in "search" screen and click to pair

    4. pairing fail message

What have you tried if anything to rectify the issue?

    - replaced batteries

    - bought a new remote control

    - tried pairing multiple times

    - factory reset the device

thank-you for any help and support

  • I experienced in some cases (new box) that you have to press on new BT1 the OK and Menu button hard (in middle of button) to start with pairing, use the nail too.

  • Hi Sam,

Good news: it finally started working again.

For reference, the successful procedure was very technical. I pressed OK + Menu, then OK, then Menu, then OK + Menu again, waited a bit, switched the HDMI input, came back, pressed a few buttons again (simultaneously and sequentially for safety), and after about 24 hours the box apparently decided it was ready to cooperate.

So either one of those steps worked… or the box just needed some time to meditate.

In any case, pairing works now.

    Thanks for the help.

Normal way is: Press Ok and Menu Button at same time and hold for 3 sec until white led start to flash, now stop pressing. After the graphic shows green hook, comes on right side the recognised RCU with MAC Address, now Press Ok, Pairing start, after that comes paired message, done.

  • Hello Sam,

I suspect it’s a Bluetooth-related issue with the software, as the problem was resolved after I reset the box.

My previous message was meant more as a joke since I wasn’t able to troubleshoot the issue any further at the time.

    Anyway, thanks.
