Loosing audio sync over some time of watching TV

1. This TV had never give me any troubles in the past with ANY of connected devices despite Formuler.

Then what? Do I need to buy another TV? Which one? Will a new one work? It seems like a lottery from my point of view.

Isn't HDMI interface standardized?

2. Recorded video that gets out of sync in TV is OK while played on computer

I will check Formuler with other antenna/cable/TV

So where are we at now? What solutions do we have?

a) return Formuler to the seller

b) change a TV and hope thet will work (still possibly to be confirmed tomorrow if it work OK at my friend's house*)

c) buy a soundar and connect it via toslink (still this sound output has not been checked by following test)

d) wait for firmware update?

* if so then I would expect a diclamer in Formuler description like 'It may or may not work correctly depending on your TV'

I've checked Formuler using my friend's Samsung and It works OK with it.

175n - can Formuler solve my Formuler/Panasonic issue with a future Formuler FW upgrade? Is it possible from technical p.o.v.?

Can you confirm the following please?

• Does the problem appear on channels with a certain audio codec? (AAC, mp3, AC3, etc.)
• Are you sending LPCM or RAW bitstream to the TV over HDMI?
• Does the audio drift out of sync if you turn off (Close) HDMI audio output and send the SPDIF audio to an AVR/soundbar for decoding?

  • Analog 3.5mm and SPDIF output is in sync, only HDMI is affected by the lip-sync issue
• Are there any firmware updates available for your TV?
  • Unfortunetly not anymore

Additional info:

1. I have found out that using Samsung TV all outputs (HDMI, Analog 3.5mm, SPDIF) are in line from the very beginning.
2. Using Panasonic TV there is a lag from the beginning between HDMI and Analog 3.5mm/SPDIF. I have not noticed that previousely but it's like 0.3 second delay. HDMI is BEHIND Analog 3.5mm/SPDIF. This is unnoticable for me but it gets worse over the time (45min-1h). Looks like it's linear lag increase but I don't know if there is max lag limit. I have also tried 'GAME' mode in TV which disables all image postprocessing without any results. Switching TV OFF>ON resets the HDMI 'increase lag' (like a delta lag that's increased over the time) still leaving this initial 0.3 sec which is usable for me.
