So i can insert 2.0 usb into 3.0 on box. Sorry for stupid questions.

Of course 3.0 is downwardly compatible to 2.0. What changes is only the speed, because the 2.0 USB device is slower then USB3.0 device but for stream recording fast enough.

thanks for quick reply

last question. Do i need to format

Format the USB Device with NTFS on PC and plugin, restart the box and you can start at once with recording.

followed your instructions.
Just get a warning message "usb storage not found"

Then is something wrong with your format or the USB Stick. I suggest, download "Tool Rufus" from web and format with this tool. You didn`t also say what kind of device this is: Stick, hdd?

Hello SAM this is bill. A little confused. I thought you said we could use a Fat 32 SD card Sandisk for recording.? My wife doesn’t want to buy HD because this card is fairly new. I have it in and it shows up in storage as shared storage or SD card for movement of only some apps. Haven’t tried recording yet!!!! Thanks for your help. Hope all is well. 😀😀
