Could you explain in detail what the problem with Z8 and Mol2 is?
Some channels have micro stuttering its the same with z7 also
-
Bobbybacala I am currently running the z8 also have the z7+ no stuttering or buffering issues sounds like your internet connection "wifi" or your provider although other issues that I noticed is Epg not loading on the z8 and have to manually go over each channel or some do not load the info

Hi,
Messiha_89 solved his problem like follow:
The micro-stuttering was solved with changing the setting "Auto Motion Plus / Digital" to off on Samsung UHD TV.
Setting in Box:
Display 2160p 50hz
Video Color Space & HDMI deep Color auf YCbCr420 8bit
Please check same setting on your tv and turn off. If this helps, please report in this thread.

I tried all the resolutions Im using the cable that came with the box

Have you tried adjusting your buffer time setting? If it's turned off and the connection to the server is not the best, it will cause similar stuttering issues. If it were a decoding issue, it would likely be present at all times on affected channels.

My connection is fine it's only on certain channels

Does it happen with other apps as well? Could be a provider issue as well.
-
I think you have to try change other Resolution and HDR Settings in the Box and TV!!!

Hi Bobbybacala,
then we have almost tried everything except audio optimizer and another provider.
Go to Market, install "Audio optimizer" app and execute. Reboot the box and check again.
Suggested from Messiha should also be tested.

I just installed audio optimizer did the reboot nothing changed I've been playing with hdr settings and resolution since z8 came out I think it's a codec issue because it's only on certain channels

No i ttied it on stb emulator and it's fine it's a mytvonline issue I think it's certain codecs because it's only happening on certain channels

I have reproduced this issue as well with current beta firmware and mol2. The micro freezing only happens on certain channels and for me, it happens with other apps on the z8 as well. I tried TiViMate with the same service on the z8 and the micro freezing is present on the same channels. Flip to another input with my firestick4k and try the same service and same app(TiViMate) and those channels are smooth as butter. Same TV settings on both inputs.

With latest beta fw 1.4.13 and 7.1.0 MOL2, few people told me it works nice now, no micro stuttering. Would be nice if someone from affected can test this.
Is just a idea: Read this post and turn off Motion Compensation to see if it helps -> Z7+ advertised as 4K 60fps smooth motion BUT

If the reproduce of this issue would be easy, then the fix would come asap. Let us await official update and see if this fix the problem.

I have similar stuttering problems as op. Any fix for this , I have tried all settings and have 360mb broadband hardwired

From my testing, the issue is still present in the latest beta. For me, It only happens on a few channels but here is an interesting note. The Z8 seems to detect the framerate on these channels improperly. On affected channels, the Z8 detects the framerate as 25fps(1280x720) and provides choppy video but other devices detect the same channels as 30fps(1280x720) and provide smooth video. It's not limited to MOL2 as it happens to the same channels with TiViMate installed on the Z8 as well. Tested with Z8 and Firestick4k on the same TV with same settings on each hdmi port.

For me the channels that skip show 60fps that's weird

For me the channels that skip show 60fps that's weird
Sometimes it shows 30/60fps for me as well, others it shows as 25/50fps in mol2 and with tivimate on the same z8 device sometimes it can detect a frame rate, sometimes it can't but the video on these channels is always choppy. Other devices all detect the frame rate properly and play the stream smoothly. People have been reporting it on the formuler telegram chat as well but it doesn't seem to be taken seriously...
