To pause an rewind live tv isnt down to the fact of if your provider has a catch up service or not, so the answer to your question is yes you can(With this device), which its down to the technology built into the software and hardware of the device. For you to use this feature you will need a usb drive connected to the z8. Get a decent brand/quality usb drive, format it on a computer first, make sure you format it using ntfs, plug in the usb drive to the z8, restart the z8 then open mytvonline, change the recording directry to your usb drive. you should be good to go

And to be sure the formatting is done right, use for this tool " Rufus". Windows format not always fine but Rufus tool does.

I can't find "mytvonline, change the recording directry to your usb drive". It does not appear under settings. Does it matter which USB slot I use? I am just using a 32gb usb drive for now.

doesnt matter which slot you use, 32gb is fine, and don't worry about the 'change recording directory' stuff, it'll work without doing that. Just plug in the USB key, reset box and you're set.
ps I don't mean this in a negative way, but instead of asking questions like "which USB slot?", Just be curious and test them out yourself! Play around with the box, press buttons, change settings, etc etc. Mess around! You won't hurt your box and you'll learn a hell of a lot more than by asking questions here and waiting for answers. This message is applicable for everyone
