  • on MOL1 is possible to use USB stick with a M3U playlist - it works ... but it also give 2 problems:

    - during Power Off the box remain frozen until the stick is removed

    - during Power On the box wait endless (probably is searching a boot stick)

This stick In and Out is annoying

    Possible solution:

Formuler can creare an internal M3U folder where users can upload the M3U list

Is it possible? maybe next release?

Why don`t you use M3U Url input instead of M3U file on USB Stick. BTW how is your stick formatted?

    Never heard of this before.

Reformat your USB or try to use another USB if it still gives you problems.

Alternatively, use SMB to copy your playlist to the local storage on your Formuler.

tried 4 times with 2 different sticks with fat32 and ntfs

    same problem

sorry but i don't know what you are talking about

Is there a tutorial or some instructions in the forum to do the job (didn't find any with search)

thanks for your (and Sam) help

thanks for your (and Sam) help

I will try to explain to you. He means that you can copy the playlist from your pc/laptop to the box through your local network. Sam asked you why you don't use m3u link instead of the m3u file but you didn't answer him.

  • Sam asked you why you don't use m3u link instead of the m3u file but you didn't answer him.

correct I owe him an answer

because I still watch my local tv via DVB-T (100+ channels) - on M3U I have only 10 foreign channels

It is exactly my need! - but this generate more questions:

as I understand MOL1 "pretend" to look for M3U list on USB or external URL but not into an internal folder

1- how and where I can create this folder - using File Browser I see only sdcard in Store

2- how I can instruct MOL1 to go there

btw - probably this kind of newby questions will be avoided

when a FAQ and HOW TO section will be created in this Forum

(I don't want to disturb and before posting I always search in old threads ... but is not easy to find what I need)

    thanks

I understand MOL1 "pretend" to look for M3U list on USB or external URL but not into an internal folder

Incorrect. You can browse the internal memory for your m3u

Steps to copy the m3u to your internal memory from Windows PC

    1. Log into your Windows PC that is on the same local network as your Formuler device.
    2. Start > Run >
    3. Type '\\192.168.x.x\share' in the Run box (without single quotes)
      • Where 192.168.x.x is the local IP address of your Formuler device
    4. In the file explorer window that opens, open the sdcard folder
    5. open the Download folder
    6. Copy your m3u to the Download folder or whatever folder you want in the sdcard folder
    7. Start MOL1
    8. Main Menu > portals
    9. Edit your m3u slot
    10. In the m3u playlist field, select the folder icon
    11. Select the Downlad folder (or whatever folder you copied the m3u to)
    12. Select your m3u
    13. Press OK
    14. enjoy
  • Incorrect. You can browse the internal memory for your m3u

wow great - I will try later - many thanks

but this method is not explained anywhere - or probably is explained somewhere

... is the somewhere that is lost LOL

my "pretend" word is due to the Playlist Tutorial (under Articles)

and that is what I mean when I suggested to create a NEWBIE CORNER

(with FAQ - HOW TO - updated Tutorial - step by step istructions ....)

Meanwhile I give you an update to my original question (regarding the USB inserted)

After several tests I reached this conclusion:

If I do a "dirty" Power Off when watching tv (push the button) = the box freeze

    instead

if 1st I close MOL1 with Exit (so back to Home) and then Power Off button = box go Off correctly

And ... as usual this generate a new question/request:

Is it possible to istruct box (Z7+5G) as a default to "clean close" automatically

all active Apps before going Power Off?

Thanks a lot (and don't forget to safe this method in a "easy to catch" tag!)

Never heard of this usb issue before.

Reformat usb as fat32 or ntfs and try again.

    Or try a different usb.
