Issues with the RCU and powering on?

I setup my new Z8 without issue earlier today. Played around, set everything up. When I was finished I selected Power Off in the power options. Came back to use the box a few hours later, pressing every button on the RCU would not switch the box on. I though I would unplug the mains to reset, this was obviously a mistake as the box powers on briefly, but then goes back to its last power state, which is off.

Tried everything without success, then just reset the box using the red button method. It’s working now, but I’m afraid of powering off or putting it into standby. Have I got to leave the box on forever?

I put the box into standby, now the RCU won’t turn it on again, same as before. The RCU works when the box is powered, but it seems incapable of turning on/waking the device.

Guess I’ll have to do another factory reset...

Yes I have tried the extender, the remote still doesn’t switch the box on. Resetting is the only way of getting the box powered on and keeping it on.

This is weird I can’t work it out.
