Newby here. My Z8 won't power up, it has a steady red light and I can't factory reset it, I followed the procedure of unplugging the power cable and re plugging whilst repeatedly pressing the red button but nothing happens. Could it be that the remote is not communicating with the box anymore? Remote light flashes when pressing STB button, batteries are new as I have only had it for a week. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi Sam, It happens without it, I tried to connect it to se if it would help but nothing. The light in front of the Z8 doesn't blink when I press the STB button on the remote, it's like the box doesn't receive the signal from the remote. I tried to change the batteries to new ones even though it is only a week old but still nothing. I am so disappointed. I can't find an answer anywhere. I have opened a ticket with Formuler and hopefully they will get back to me soon.

Cut power from your box for 10Min, same with your rcu (without batterys), test then again. If later same issue exist contact your seller.

Thank you Sam, sadly no change after doing that. I am going to send it back and have it changed. From your experience does this happen frequently, I am scared getting a new one in case it goes bad again. I bought a power adapter from the same seller on Amazon as it says it is for Z8, I wonder if that could be the cause...

Replaced box should work fine. I guess with your current it is only the RCU that have issues.
BTW. Why did you bought extra power adapter? In the box package are always power adapter included....

Mine didn't come with an adapter, cleverly the seller didn't provide it so that I had to buy a separate power cable for £15.. The light on the remote blinks when I press any buttons so it works, can the box and the RCU unpair themselves? It is only a week old... Thank you again

There is UK Adapter inclusive and you use the original power supply from Formuler.
