I'm new to those boxes and installed a Formule GTV just yesterday.
There is a USB drive of 8 GB and i'm able to make recordings.
Question:
- How do i activate pauze on live TV?

Hi and welcome,
1. USB stick should be prepared/formatted for MOL2 recordings like in this how to -> How to format Micro SD card, USB flash drive, pen drive, hard drive or SSD for use with Z and S Boxes.
Insert USB Stick after format and reboot once the box. The main menu pop message about new device was detected can be ignored.
2. Start MOL2 - Go to MOL2 menu -> Settings -> DVR Options -> Timeshift on + Timeshift storage location must be your new usb stick.

When you press record does it ask you to record to that drive.

Once done it seems to be connected but when going to the timeshift option i can't selet the USB storage.
Of course, because you formatted it again with Android OS, i told you to ignore the message from Android OS. Important is that after format with Rufus and connect with the box MOL2 recognises the hdd correctly. Please do the step like in 1. again and go straight into MOL2.

Re-format your USB on your PC.
Insert into GTV
IGNORE the system message to "Setup your USB." Do not do it.
Open MOL2 and it should work

Make sure the hdd is not set as device storage.
