Z8 wifi to 4g Router

    Strange issue. Z8 configured and working correctly at one location with wifi. Go to another location, connect to new wifi, message says connected. Run MyTVOnline says it cannot connect. The only difference is that the 2nd location uses a 4G router. iPhone and iPad both connect no issue. Speedtest on wifi says 22Mb download. The 4G router is from Movistar and is a Huawei B315. Removed the Z8 and connected a Mag254 and it works. Both connected to the same Portal. The only logical explanation is that the WiFi on the Z8 when using MYTVOnline does not like the 4G connection. But I do not understand why. Any ideas?

    Thanks - I know I can but it is a lot of hassle. A Mag254 sitting side by side works perfectly . The Z8 says its connected at 144MB so why the error when I try to run MYTV.... I suppose I could just test a cable without installing to eliminate or not the internet connection. I was more wondering whether there is something in the 4G router that would be an issue or an incompatibly between the Z8 and the 4G router. Anybody with previous experience might be able to point me in the right direction.

    I’ve noticed actually that the Z8 (haven’t tried with the other models) doesn’t connect to 4g WiFi....

    I had an issue once with home broadband so tried to connect to hotspot on my iPhone but just didn’t pick it up or when it did, it reported the same issue as you’ve mentioned.

    Had someone else attempt the same thing with their z8 and hotspot and they encountered the same issue aswell.
