  • Hello guys,

I have questions about the search function when adding channels to the new groups that I've created.

I'm not able to search "ALL" channels. I'm only able to search within individual groups or country. I've created new groups like "Tennis" Or "Basketball", and when adding the new channels to them, I want to search "ALL" channels for those sports, and then add as necessary. I don't understand why this function is not allowed because MOL2 lets me search "ALL" channels when in viewing mode, but it doesn't let me search "ALL" channels when adding channels to new groups that I've created.

Are there any suggestions on what I can do to make this easier? A workaround, maybe? Am I missing/overlooking something here? Can the issue be fixed with a future software update?

I've created the new groups (10 group limit and 300 channels limit), to make the viewing experience easier for me, rather than scrolling through thousands of channels, and trying to remember channel locations. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, and have a good day guys!

  • 1. Any tips from the experienced users on how to best manage group/channel favorites?

    2. Also, when using the channel search function, is there a way to view, and then return to the channels populated in the search without having to re-type the same search?

    Thanks.

    In response to Question 1

    Bring up channel list.
    Press Left twice
Create own favourite groups / rename / order way you want in favs.

  • Thanks for all of the responses guys. I kind of figured out how to scroll and view through search channels. FWIW, I use "Classic" mode.

    1. Press OK, to bring up the channel menu on the left hand side.

    2. Press Green button to search, type whatever you want to search, and search channels will populate on the left.

    3. Scroll and press OK to view channels, and it should appear on the screen to the right, and search list should stay.

    4. If it doesn't work the first time around, it should work the second time, and every time thereafter, unless you've had to restart MOL2 or the STB for whatever reason.

Also, after one week of playing around with MOL2, I'm getting faster at adding channels to the new groups. Just took a little getting used to, I guess.

One last thing. Unless I'm missing something, I wish there was a way to RENAME a group. Maybe there is, and I just need to figure it out. Thanks again guys.

  • I was meaning "rename/name" own favourite groups, sorry.

Not actual groups from a service.

That's what I was talking about. How do you rename from my own favorite groups? Creating/naming your own group is simple enough, but I have yet to figure out how to rename a favorite group. I guess the developers are working on that feature, so we'll stay tuned. Thanks.
