  • So i have 5 Formuler z7+ boxes connected to a Linksys 1900 acs router. I use a steaming service via M3U but for some reason, only 2 of the 5 tv's work. The other 3 get stuck on the initial loading page. I use express vpn and all formulers connect directly to that router. I tried changing the server location but that does not work. Only when i turn off the vpn will it load. Im not sure why i get an error message when its trying to load up. In addition, i tried to update the formuler to the latest version but couldn't (at the time) as it said something in the lines of "not connected to the internet" but when that happened, i did a speed test and it showed i was doing well beyond the required speed. The fact it gave me speed results means i was connected to the internet but the box would not boot up the player nor would it update anything until i turned off the vpn.

So itll work fine when i turn the vpn off, loads up and get picture, turn the vpn back on, still works fine but the next day after i power it down from the day before then power back it back on, it gets stuck on the loading screen until i do the mentioned steps again. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions as to why this is happening and how i can resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

  • i had same problem thursday.

    They had problems my provider.

All my 3 boxes didnt work.

And the box of a friend, worked well.

Since friday morning was everything ok.

and saterday also and inclusive the epg back.

Did it work again for you from now on?

  • Thanks for the reply. No. I still have issue with 3 of the 5 tv’s. I’m going to reach out to my internet provider and have them change my IP. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Other then that, I’m not sure what else to do except turn off the VPN which is what I don’t want to do but I’ll see if I can fiddle around with the settings. Hopefully I’ll find the cause on my router assuming changing the IP doesn’t work. This never happened before but my formuler s were turned off for a long while with no issues prior. After ~1 year I powered them back on in which case the problem started. Same equipment and VPN/network provider but won’t connect unless VPN is off. Go figure.

Home many connections does your VPN provider allow? Is there perhaps a limit?

Is the VPN app up to date on other 3 boxes with vpn issue? 1 year is long time.

  • Ok understand, VPN through Router and not with apk on the box. Did you try to give each box static ip and update to latest FW and MOL2?

  • Sorry for the delay... Changing to a static IP did not work. Just found out today why this is happening though so i'll share in the event someone runs into the same problem:

So i use m3u4u and seems that your not allowed to pull data from their server at the same time using multiple devices. I think you need to wait 15+ min before powering on another devices that's used to get that same information. Because the formuler does not allow you (or at least i'm not sure how to do it if it does) to add/delete/custom name certain categories/channels for the purposes of cleaning up the the EPG, I had to revert to the m3u4u to do this so each time i power on a device, it downloads the playlist but won't do it if you power on each unit at the same time and if you can't get the playlist, then the lineup wont load and neither will any channels in which case, leaving you with "Playlist Error: Data Load Failed" as shown in the attached image. I had to crate a single account for each unit to resolve this issue. I powered down the units after inputting the m3u for each formuler assigned from m34u link. I waited ~ 1 hour and powered each unit up at the same time +/-30 seconds and they all loaded normally with no issues.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for your help and advice in rectifying this problem and hope this helps someone in the same situation.
